티키 내부의 가장 흥미로운 기능 중 하나인 게시판 시스템에 오신 것을 환영합니다, 개념은 매우 간단합니다:

• 게시판은 한 주제에 대한 토픽 (대화목록 혹은 쓰레드라고 불리기도 함) 들의 묶음입니다. 제품, 영화, 스포츠, 날씨 등 원하는 것은 무엇이든지 논의하기 위해서 게시판을 만들 수 있습ㄴ디ㅏ
• 토픽/대화목록은 특정 게시판 내부의 메시지들 (게시물이라고 불리기도 합니다) 의 묶음입니다
• 게시물/메시지는 특정 토픽에 대하여 사용자가 제출한 메시지 입니다.

응용프로그램 메뉴 안의 게시판 메뉴는 2개의 링크를 표시힙니다, 하나는 게시판 목록에 대한 것이고, 다른 하나는 게시판 순위에 대한 것입니다.
사용자로써, 귀하는 응용프로그램 메뉴 내부의 게시판 링크들을 클릭하여 게시판 구역에 입장할 수 있습니다.

원하는 바에 의하여 게시판 목록을 정렬할 수 있으며 게시판에 입장하기 위하여 게시판명을 클릭할 수 있습니다.

게시판에 입장하면, 토픽들의 목록이 표시될 것입니다:

토픽은 게시판에 대한 토픽 세트에 대한 기본 순서를 사용하여 나열됩니다, 사용자로써 귀하는 토픽을 토픽 목록안의 필드 중 아무것에 의하여 정렬할 수 있습니다. 유형은 토픽을 분류하기 위하여 사용됩니다 (뒤에 추가 설명). 토픽 아이콘이 (이 경우와 같이) 붉게 표시되면. 해당 토픽은 해당 사용자에게 새로운 것입니다. 토픽을 게시할 권한을 보유하고 있다면, 새 토픽을 게시할 양식을 표시하기/감추기를 할 링크를 보게될 것입니다. 다음은 표시되었을 때의 양식입니다:

You will have to enter the title for the topic, the type and the comment (the topic text), you can use some smileys shown at the right if you want. The topic-type that you can set will be normal unless you are an admin for this forum, in which case you can use any type. Topics type are described next:

Type	Icon	Description
Normal		A normal topic
Hot		A hot topic, a topic that is very important or polemical or anything you consider hot
Announce		An announcement
Sticky		A sticky topic will be displayed on top of the list of topics regardless of the ordering selected for topics.
Locked		A locked topic is a topic where users cannot post messages, admins can lock a topic by changing the type of any topic to locked

If you click on the topic name for any topic a list of topic messages will be displayed:

From this screen you can post new messages (if you have the permission), edit or remove messages (again if you have the permission) and quote a message if you want. The form to post a message for a topic is almost indentical to the form used to post a new topic.

The toolbar can be used to sort messages by date, score or title, limit the minimum score for a message to be displayed (threshold) or find messages containing some word.

The forum rankings screen can be used to display rankings for the forums.

There are five ways to monitor messages:

Like it usually works in email lists: copies are received from the initial messages (new topics) from all the new discussion threads, as well as from all their answers.
You need to click on the right icon when looking at the topics list from a forum. For instance:

You need to click on a specific discussion thread in a forum, and click on the eye icon on the right of the initial message from that discussion thread. For instance:

On 2.0, when you start a new thread you have the option to select monitoring that thread just at posting time (and selected by default):

An admin of the site can set up your tiki to send messages to selected groups of users when the are some changes in objects of the tiki site, such a forum. Once Group watch is enabled tiki wide by an admin, a few new icons will show up to the right of the previous ones, allowing the admin to set which groups have to received emails:

Additionally, in Tiki 2.0 you can watch a categorized forum through watching the category that it belongs to.
