The Markdown WYSIWYG Page Editor

The markdown WYSIWYG based on TOAST UI Editor, it provides Markdown mode and WYSIWYG mode. Depending on the type of use you want like production of Markdown or maybe to just edit the Markdown, you can edit wiki page, using Markdown syntax or WYSIWYG and comes with Syntax Highlighting, Scroll-Sync, Live Preview, and support for wiki plugins.

The Editor will allow you to do some or all of the following:

  • Add content
  • Accentuate your content using markdown Syntax
  • Add HTML tags
  • Use wiki plugins


The following sections explain how to do this.

The Editor

The following image shows the Markdown WYSIWYG Page Editor.

1. Toolbar : Through the toolbar, you can style or add elements to the document you are editing.

2. The Body

This is where text, markdown syntax and HTML code and wiki plugins can be added. A Wiki page can look like - well - anything you want it to look like.
At the bottom of the body with a switch menu to switch editor mode.

  • Change description Here you can write the change you made to the page
  • Preview Reloads the page with the changes displayed above the editor.
  • PDF Preview Preview how yours output will looks like before you print it.
  • Save & Cancel Edit do exactly that.
